The weather is finally getting warmer and swim season will soon be here. The MARC pool will open on May 11. Mark your calendar and join the fun. We have had an uneventful winter and are looking forward to a great summer season. This summer we are continuing our furniture upgrade. We plan to replace most of the old plastic furniture with new strap furniture which matches the furniture which was refurbished last season. We are planning to make furniture maintenance a priority each season, so that our pool furniture stays serviceable and good looking. WiFi was new last season and we are planning to offer it again this summer.
Our annual Spring Clean-Up Day will be held on April 13 at 9:00 am. This is a great way for your family to work off maintenance fees. We have lots of ground maintenance which needs to be completed before opening so bring your tools, catch up with your summer friends and get maintenance credit. The short list of work to be performed includes weeding, wood repair, painting, pruning and mulching. If you have questions about the Clean-Up Day, email Robbie Gupton at MedfieldAreaRecreationClub+Grounds@gmail.com.
The Ice Cream Social Registration Day has been set for May 19, 2-4 pm. Registration for 2013 will be $85 per swimmer. Swim practices will start on May 20.
Coming Soon: Swim meet schedule, new swim suit style, and meeting our coaches…
MARC Shark sponsorship opportunities are still available. Find more sponsorship information at http://marcpool.org/MARC/MARC_SponsorForm2013.pdf.
Email email@example.com to be added to the swim team email distribution list if you are not already receiving swim team emails. Friend “Marc Sharks” on Facebook for the latest swim team news!
Membership bills were mailed in March and you probably noticed a small fee increase. We instituted this increase to fund future maintenance projects which will need to be performed to keep the pool in good operating condition. Please contact Paul Ulanch, treasurer, at MedfieldAreaRecreationClub+Treasurer@gmail.com if you have not yet received your invoice.
If you plan to be out of town for a large portion of this summer, remember that partial/weekly memberships are available. We also have an add-on membership option that allows members to add-on a person(s) that lives within the corporate area. This person(s) must be accompanied to the pool by an adult host member and is not eligible to be on the swim team. This is a great option for the friend or family member that lives in the corporate area but is not a current member and would not be able to come as a guest otherwise.
Membership is essential to MARC’s existence and growth. Please tell your neighbors about your experiences at the pool and encourage them to join. If you have neighbors who have just moved into the neighborhood, please take a few minutes to tell them about the pool and encourage them to join. Our June 2nd Open House is a great opportunity for perspective members to come and visit the pool and you can refer them to MedfieldAreaRecreationClub@gmail.com if they have any questions.
