Calling all MARC witches, zombies, and ghouls! Help create a fun Halloween party on the pool grounds!
The Sikes/Troxler Family has hosted a Halloween party for up to 50 kids at their home for the past 10 years and as our kids are growing up, we’d like to pass the tradition on to our friends and neighbors. Our tentative date is Saturday Nov. 1 from 5:30-7:30pm. Target age for attendees is usually ages up to about 10 or 11, but we definitely need older kids to help run the games and staff the spooky walk (running the party is as much fun as being a “guest”).
We have usually offered scary treats, like catbox cake and bloody hand punch, played a few games (Mummy wrap, pumpkin toss, candy jar guessing games), and presented visits to Dr. Pycho’s lab where brave kids (and adults) can touch my creepy experiments (peeled grape “eyeballs”, etc). The highlight has always been a spooky guided walk through our back yard with strobe lights, fog machines, ghouls, werewolves, and more. We have lots of decorations/supplies/recipes to offer.
If you are interested, we would love your ideas and help! The party doesn’t have to duplicate our past family events—bring ideas for new games and activities! You can find ways to help by checking the sign up at:
The sign-ups listed are only suggestions. You’ll see plenty of space to add your own creative ideas!
Contact Jen Sikes with any questions, comments, or ideas.
*If it rains Saturday we will not have the party. Will be checking forecast in the days before to give all a good heads up.
